Water Cooled Heat Exchangers
Shell and Tube and Plate Type Heat Exchangers for many oil cooling applications like hydraulic power units, injection molding machines, test benches, etc. as well as water/water cooling applications. Available in many standard types and construction materials like steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and stainless steel.
EK Series
The EK Series - the ‘Green’ cooler - is the most efficient heat exchanger offered in the water cooled series. The aluminum finned tube bundle design provides an increased surface area that allows for optimal heat rejection with low water usage. An optional Surge-Cushion ® bypass is available for cold start up protection or flow surges. Sea water service options are also available. The low cost, compact design isideal for general purpose hydraulic power unit installations.
HC Series
The HC Series shell & tube style offers the widest variety of options for utilizing water for cooling compressor lube oil or air. It remains the industry standard in ultimate value and long-term reliability. The proven fixed tube sheet design shell and tube heat exchanger offers the cost effectiveness that comes with having a highly standard design, while easily providing for various options to meet specific application requirements. Multiple material options are available as well. This series includes seventeen models with air flow capacities from 75-1500 SCFM (2.12-42.48 SCMM) or oil flow from 7-105 GPM (27-397 LPM) and heat rejection from 14-281 HP (10.4-209.5KW).
B/SB Series
The B Series is very versatile in its ability to accommodate multiple application requirements. The smaller size unit features tube options with greater surface area and multiple baffle spacing options to optimize heat transfer and pressure drop. The B series is a non-ferrous design. Brass construction makes it ideal for water to water, including sea water cooling applications. Competitively priced, the non-ferrous SB-Steel shell version is the same as the B series, but is not ideal for water to water or sea water applications.
A Series
The A Series is a legacy product developed to interchange with ITT/Standard X-Change. Its non-ferrous design (brass shell) is ideal for water to water, Including sea water cooling applications. This unit is not recommended for new applications.
SSC Series
The SSC Series features all stainless steel construction. The proven fixed tube sheet design shell and tube heat exchanger offers the cost effectiveness that comes with having a highly standard design, while easily providing for various options to meet specific application requirements. Custom models are also available. This series is preferred for all new oil-water applications.
EC Series
The EC Series is a robust version of the EK series with the same efficiency, handling flows up to 250 GPM. The aluminum finned tube bundle design provides an increased surface area that allows for optimal heat rejection with low water usage. An optional Surge-Cushion ® bypass is available for cold start up protection or flow surges. With multiple material options to choose from, this series can used in a wide variety of applications.
CA 2000 Series
The CA -2000 Series is the largest standard shell and tube heat exchanger in the product line. It features rugged steel construction and is capable of handling very high flow rates and heat transfer capabilities at a competitive price.
Custom designs are also available.
UC/UCV Series
The UC/UCV Series features all-steel construction with a U-tube design that reduces stresses caused by thermal expansion. The UCV features rotated shell ports for removal of condensate. The tube bundle, removable for servicing, is standard on all models. This series is ideal for steam and large temperature differential applications.
BPSW Series
The BPSW Series is rugged, compact and cost-effective, and is reliable over long periods of time with minimal maintenance. Design features of this highly-efficient series include 316 stainless steel construction and standard SAE connections. High plate channel turbulence effectively performs even in close approach temperatures. The compact size is an optimal heat transfer solution for industrial applications where space is limited. A wide offering of full featured standard models is available with short lead times and fast delivery.
PF Series
The PF Series is a high-performing casketed plate style heat exchanger. Able to handle large volumetric flows with low temperature drops, the design features large heat exchanging surfaces in a very compact, space-saving frame. The units can be readily expanded or reduced to accommodate changes in performance. This cost effective series is ideal for oil-to-water applications. Titanium plates are available for salt water service.
